Red Light Therapy
“Intensive effect down to the cellular level”
WHAT IS RED LIGHT THERAPY?
Red Light is a special type of light with specific wavelengths that is effective because it can penetrate deep into the skin without damaging it. Red light stimulates biological processes in the cells, such as improving energy availability and reducing oxidative stress.
During the treatment (a session usually lasts 20 minutes), a special panel that emits red light is placed close to the area to be treated.
The therapy is painless and generally even feels pleasantly relaxing, with a slight warmth.
WHAT IS RED LIGHT THERAPY GOOD FOR?
Red light therapy is used for a wide range of health complaints and conditions because of its beneficial effects on cellular energy production and anti-inflammatory effects. Some examples of health complaints for which red light therapy can be effective:
Skin improvement:
Acne: Can help reduce inflammation and heal acne rashes.
Wrinkles and fine lines: Stimulates collagen production, which helps reduce signs of aging.
Wound healing: Speeds up the healing process of cuts, burns, and other skin injuries.
Pain relief:
Arthritis: Reduces pain and inflammation in joints.
Muscle pain and tension: Helps relieve muscle pain and can help repair muscle tissue.
Chronic pain: Can provide relief from conditions such as fibromyalgia or back pain.
Inflammation control:
Autoimmune diseases: Although caution is advised, it can help reduce inflammation in conditions such as lupus or multiple sclerosis.
Improved circulation:
Promotes better blood flow, which can help improve overall health and healing.
Improved sleep:
Can help regulate the sleep-wake cycle by supporting melatonin production.
Hair loss:
For conditions such as alopecia, red light therapy can help stimulate hair growth.
Cognitive enhancement:
There is research suggesting that red light therapy can help improve cognitive functions, especially in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.
WHEN WILL YOU NOTICE RESULTS?
The degree of effectiveness and the length of time in which you can notice results varies from person to person (depending on the specific condition, its severity and the frequency of treatments).
In terms of frequency, the general rule is: the more frequent the treatment, the more effective (especially when you are just starting the treatment).
For most health complaints, we will advise you to start with at least 2 to 3 treatments per week; of course, we will discuss this with you prior to the treatments and put together a tailor-made treatment plan.
