MAGNESIUM INHALATION AND ADHD
The abbreviation ADHD stands for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This means a disorder in which someone finds it difficult to pay attention and is hyperactive (very active). In ADHD, there can be problems with:
- Concentration, often forgets things and finds it difficult to focus.
- Hyperactivity, very active, difficulty sitting still, doing things without thinking.
- Experiencing both concentration and hyperactivity issues.
In addition, there may be issues with falling asleep, being fearful, and becoming angry quickly.
The exact cause of ADHD is not yet clear. However, it is known that several factors play a role in ADHD:
- Brain function, underdevelopment of certain parts.
- Heredity.
- Environment.
Research has shown that the brains of young people with ADHD are different from those without ADHD. Certain brain areas are less developed in young people with ADHD compared to their peers. Furthermore, brain research has shown differences in the development between the two brain hemispheres in children with ADHD, but these differences are much smaller compared to children without ADHD.
Moreover, brain research has indicated that the brains of children and adults with ADHD function differently from those of their peers. Neurotransmitters are used to transmit messages between nerves in the brain. Disruptions in these neurotransmitter systems have been found in children and adults with ADHD.
