Sinusitis

Sinusitis, or sinus infection, is an inflammation of the sinuses. The sinuses are air-filled spaces located in the upper jaw and forehead. During an infection, the sinus lining swells, preventing fluid drainage from the sinus cavity. This causes a painful and pressure-like sensation. In most cases, sinusitis is a benign condition. In very rare instances, it can be dangerous due to the proximity of the sinuses to the brain.

Acute or Chronic Sinusitis

There is a distinction between acute and chronic sinusitis. Acute sinusitis is often caused by a bacterial or viral infection in more than half of the cases. Dental issues are responsible in ten percent of cases, while sometimes it can be triggered by air irritation from pollution, smoke, etc. Symptoms can persist for three to eight weeks. In the case of chronic sinusitis, symptoms are persistent or recurring, lasting typically longer than eight weeks. Chronic sinusitis can result from untreated acute sinusitis or allergies.

Possible symptoms include a blocked nose, runny nose, green or yellow nasal discharge, facial pain and sensitivity, pain in the jaws, teeth, and gums when eating, elevated body temperature, fatigue, sinus headaches, coughing, bad breath, ear pressure, and loss of taste and smell.

Treatment

Treatment in the salt chamber helps patients with sinusitis to expel excess mucus more effectively, allowing for better breathing.

Salt Purifies!

Recommended sessions
10 – 20 sessions

To be effective, sessions should be conducted 2-3 times per week over a longer period, with follow-up sessions of 1-2 per year and additional treatments as needed.

Erik (47) chronic sinusitis

"I immediately noticed that the salt chamber was affecting me. It felt like a tingling sensation everywhere at first. A good sign, because it meant it was really doing something. I have chronic sinusitis, which I contracted after falling ill on vacation. I wasn't making much progress at the hospital, and a friend of mine suggested the salt chamber. I also exercise a lot, and I noticed I had more air more often and felt less congested. The salt chamber has truly provided relief for me. It's been a while now, and I'm still doing well!"

Wanda (56) chronic sinusitis

"I've been 14 times, and I really notice improvement. I spent the whole summer without symptoms. Whenever I coughed up mucus, it was always colored. After completing the 14 sessions, this stayed away all summer. Now that winter is approaching, I'm starting again to prevent it from getting worse. It's also just very relaxing."
