Halotherapy and Eczema
Eczema, also known as dermatitis, is a collective term for skin conditions characterized by inflammation, itching, and redness. It often occurs at all ages and can be hereditary. While it predominantly affects younger children, it can also develop later in life.
Eczema results from an excessive immune response to various triggers. These triggers can include substances that come into contact with the skin, such as perfumes, nickel, adhesives, or soap, as well as environmental factors like sun exposure, wind, heat, and hot water.
Halotherapy is antibacterial and reduces the likelihood of skin inflammation (e.g., after scratching). It significantly reduces itching, calms the skin, and diminishes redness. The skin becomes softer and more even-toned, with improved oxygen transport. Halotherapy also boosts resistance and strengthens the immune system.
