MAGNESIUM INHALATION AND TINNITUS / RINGING IN THE EARS
There are approximately 2 million people in the Netherlands who suffer from tinnitus. Tinnitus is a hearing impairment where sounds are perceived that do not actually exist. Tinnitus can arise from various causes, from high blood pressure to infectious diseases. Often, tinnitus is caused by exposure to excessive noise. Hearing damage occurs when the hair cells in the ear are damaged. Hair cells naturally degrade over the course of life, which is entirely normal. Sometimes, they also get damaged due to exposure to loud noises. Damaged hair cells cannot transmit proper information, which may result in a person hearing a constant noise or ringing.
