MAGNESIUM INHALATION AND PULMONARY FIBROSIS / IDIOPATHIC PULMONARY FIBROSIS
Pulmonary fibrosis is a chronic lung disease. It is a relatively rare condition. In pulmonary fibrosis, oxygen uptake is impaired due to the formation of scar tissue. Fibrosis literally means scarring. The formation and increase of scar tissue often result from an inflammatory process. In pulmonary fibrosis, excessive connective tissue is formed during inflammation. As a result, the lungs function less effectively because they cannot adequately absorb oxygen. There are many different forms of pulmonary fibrosis. Sometimes the cause of pulmonary fibrosis is unknown, and it is referred to as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).
Some symptoms associated with pulmonary fibrosis include shortness of breath, fatigue, and low energy levels. Some causes of pulmonary fibrosis include inhaling harmful substances, rheumatic diseases, and the use of certain medications. How the disease manifests in the body can vary greatly from person to person. Unfortunately, damaged lung tissue cannot regenerate.
