MAGNESIUM INHALATION AND MIGRAINE / HEADACHE

People with migraine experience severe throbbing headaches. The headache often affects one side of the head and can last between 4 to 72 hours. Due to the intense headache, individuals can become very nauseous and may even vomit. Those experiencing a migraine attack are typically sensitive to light and sound. It is difficult to carry out normal activities like school or work during a migraine attack. Besides the headache, other symptoms may include:

  • seeing flashes or wavy lines
  • loss of vision in part of the field, blind spot
  • numbness, tingling sensations in the body
  • difficulty with speech

These symptoms eventually subside.

Treatment

Magnesium relaxes the muscles in the head and neck that can cause headaches. It also serves as a natural defense against stress, which is seen as a major cause of headaches and migraines.
It has a calming effect on the nervous system and prevents the vasoconstrictions that lead to a migraine attack.
Magnesium protects against blood clots and thickening of the blood that can cause vasoconstriction leading to migraines. Magnesium widens the capillary blood vessels in the brain and improves blood circulation.

Recommended Sessions

It is recommended to use magnesium inhalation once a week during stressful times. If you feel a migraine coming on, you can also call to make an appointment in the magnesium cabin immediately.
It is also advised to use magnesium at home through transdermal absorption (absorption through the skin).
