Magnesium Inhalation and Asthma

Asthma is a chronic disease affecting 5-10% of the Dutch population, more prevalent among children and young adults but also present in older adults. It involves inflammation of the lungs, which is persistent in asthma, meaning there are always small inflammations present in the lungs. Asthma can cause significant symptoms.

Symptoms include wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing. During an asthma attack, the muscle tissue in the airways constricts, narrowing the air passages. In addition to muscle constriction, inflammation causes swelling in the middle layer of the lungs, leading to mucus production. This mucus can partially or completely block the airways.

Asthma attacks often have triggering factors, such as specific allergens or exposure to cigarette smoke.

Treatment

Treatment in the magnesium cabin can reduce the risk of an asthma attack. Magnesium aids in improving overall resistance.
By inhaling magnesium, the airways are also cleaned and cleared of impurities due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
Magnesium is a safe and effective remedy for people with (severe) asthma.
Magnesium is also depleted as a result of using asthma medications that open the airways and reduce inflammation.

Did you know!

Did you know that magnesium inhalation is the most effective way to absorb magnesium into your body? As an additional benefit, magnesium has an anti-inflammatory effect on the airways! It improves blood circulation, dilates the bronchi, enhances the function of cilia, and helps remove mucus from the airways.
