Magnesium Inhalation and Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer's disease is the most common age-related disease of the central nervous system; a progressive condition characterized by the loss of higher brain functions. The first symptoms often appear around the age of fifty to sixty, although the disease can also affect younger individuals. Alzheimer's disease is very common and can be a severe emotional burden for the patient's family members. It causes a gradual decline in cognitive abilities. Patients may forget things, have difficulty speaking or writing, and lose emotional control. As memory loss progresses, the problems become more severe. Some patients forget family members, do not remember where they live, or how to use the telephone due to the loss of cognitive and motor skills.
