Halotherapy, also called salt therapy, is a completely natural treatment for people who suffer from skin and/or respiratory problems. Halotherapy is also suitable for people who do a lot of (top) sports. It is an inhalation therapy. In a room that is completely made of salt, dry microscopic particles of high-quality pharmaceutical salt are evenly distributed in the room with a halogenerator. The salt is inhaled and it ends up deep in the respiratory tract and on the skin, allowing it to have its healing effect.

Why does Halotherapy work so well?
Salt is a natural anti-inflammatory, it kills bacteria and fungi and has an anti-inflammatory effect. By inhaling the salt particles, the salt particles end up deep in the lungs. The airways become cleaner, you get more air! Mucus can be coughed up more easily or it leaves the body naturally.

We work by appointment only. You can make an appointment via the website, via email, via WhatsApp or by phone. The sessions start at the agreed time, because the room is filtered after each session. This also means that we are bound to a schedule.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing and clean socks. When you enter the salt room, we will provide you with a hairnet and covers for your socks. This is because we want to keep the room as clean as possible.

If you suffer from skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema, it is best to leave the affected skin free. Think about wearing shorts and a t-shirt or bikini. We also ask you to bring a towel with you to sit on if you have skin problems.

Some people are concerned about salt intake (too much). This type of salt intake is mainly about salt intake in food and that is connected to the digestive tract.

Dry salt therapy is different, as it is connected to the respiratory tract. When inhaled, the amount of micro salt particles that enter the respiratory tract is so low that it does not pose a risk to your health.

Please do not use perfume, essential oils, eau de cologne, etc. during a visit to the salt room. This is also nice for people who cannot tolerate this well.

Please be present 10 minutes before the scheduled session. The session starts at the agreed time. After the session, the air is filtered for fifteen minutes.

Eating and drinking is not allowed in the salt room.

Before you enter the salt room, you will be given a hairnet and covers for your socks or shoes. This is to keep the room as clean as possible.

The use of electrical equipment is at your own risk. The salt can cause electrical equipment to break.

It is best to leave jewelry and watches off.

You can use lockers to protect your personal belongings. Zuiver Zout is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property.

Respect the delicate nature of the salt room by not bringing equipment and other items that could damage it.

You can meet other people in the salt room. You can choose to read something, relax and enjoy the special ambiance, talk to other people if you want or sleep.
